Wow! This week has gone by so quickly! With that said, reflections are a good way to wrap up a great week, I think. First off, I am thankful for this week. My job entails a whole lot of weed-whacking, and so that means a lot of time for personal reflection and pondering. Sometimes I get bored of my job, and think "I wish I was doing something that actually reflected my future!" It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking this way. On the other hand, I have a stinkin' awesome job, have the opportunity to work for a great organization, and have wonderful co-workers. Who could ask for more?
I am thankful for my health returning! My wisdom teeth removal resulted in some silly complications that made training, working and general living very difficult for the first two and a half weeks of May. Hurray for the ability to train in the heat, exercise with joy, and just be outside in God's creation. :)
I am thankful for family and my wonderful man. Sometimes it's easy to forget or take for granted those people who are often the glue that keep you together and remind and encourage you. These people who are such an integral part of my life are insanely important to me and I am thankful that they are in my life to keep pushing me.
Lastly, I am thankful for a God that never gives up. There are a whole bunch of things that seem easy to give up on. I am reminded that God gives me a lot of mercy and grace in these sorts of things, and never stops loving me. So why should I stop loving? After all, we love because He loved us first! It may seem easy to say this sort of thing when my week has gone well, but I think after the adversity and difficulty of April and May, I am truthfully thankful!
Thanks for reading my week-day, pre-weekend reflections! Hopefully this can be a regular post, so stay tuned! Sending warm fuzzies your way for a wonderful weekend! Remember to get some sleep :).
